Chakana-Observatory

Description
It is located in the heart of Pisco Elqui, Paihuano. Its experience promises a “different look” through astronomical observation and reflection, the human-human relation, human-environment relation, and human-cosmos relation.
Its infrastructure is a wooden dome with 4 mt of diameter, with 500 kilograms of crystal quartz in its floor. The observation of the universe is supported by 11-inch telescopes, 10-inch Dobsonian and 6-inch refractor. In addition, it has specialized equipment for astrophotography and night photography (electronic tripods, solar observation filter, tracking motors, adapters, wide angle, intervalometer, time-lapse). There are also astronomical talks in Spanish, French and English.
